The Greatest Songs You've Never Heard
Falls Church based pianist extraordinaire Alex Hassan recreates the styles of the golden age of 1920s/30s Tin Pan Alley. Sublime, acclaimed East Coach based singers Doug Bowles and Karin Paludan are versatile performers who bring the songs of the Era to life with humor and heart; together they are "Three For a Song" and present "The Greatest Songs You've Never Heard".
Since the trio debuted "The Greatest Songs" in late 2011, it has received standing ovations at venues such as the Kennedy Center's Millennium Stage "Jazz Club", the Coolidge Auditorium at the Library of Congress, and numerous private events. The chemistry between the three is "infectious" as they share breathtaking melodies from stage and film, with clever lyrics, bouncy rhythms, and hot tempos. Woven between the songs, you'll hear hilarious, heart warming and surprising anecdotes about the songs and songwriters, with listeners left to wonder how on Earth these melodies didn't become standards!
