Lannigan's 2015 Turkey Bowl for CHOP (Dedicated to Jessica Jara)
11-3-2015 UPDATE: Turkey Bowl Friends & Family...we are very saddened and shocked to hear this week that our dear friends Kate and Steve received a cancer diagnosis on their baby girl Jessica, who just turned 1. Jess was diagnosed with sacrococcygeal cancer, and is beginning a long and difficult journey. Because of this, we have decided to dedicate the 4th annual Turkey Bowl to Jessica. Proceeds will be split between going to CHOP for research for sacrococcygeal cancer and helping this dear family with whatever they may need to help get their baby on the road to recovery. Please pray for the Jara family and we will see you on Saturday in support of Jessica!
2015 Turkey Bowl for CHOP Date: November 7, 2015
Every year, the Lannigans host a Turkey Bowl event that consists of a co-ed flag football game, followed by food, beverages, and entertainment in our local community. It started as a way to get to know our new neighbors, and has grown each year. This year is Year 2 where the Turkey Bowl is now a charity event where ALL contributions will benefit the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. We have started working with corporate sponsors who are generously offering gift baskets to help raise even more money through ticket purchases to win a prize.
Those who have been involved in this event in the past know that it's a great day. Good football, good people, good beer, good food! This year we want to make it GREAT. ALL proceeds benefit the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
*What is driving us to bring 200 people together on a chilly pre-Thanksgiving day in early November?*
We are lucky to be surrounded by amazing friends and family. We are even luckier to have a healthy little 4 year old boy named Jimmy. Being involved in the lives of others as we all have started to have children, along with the presence of social media and prayer warrior pages, we are even more aware of how precious life is. As parents, we would go to the ends of the earth for our little boy. Some 4 year olds are praying for their lives instead of wishing for a bike for their birthday.

Date: November 7, 2015
Game kick off: 1:00 pm
Appetizers and drinks in between at the Lannigan's house
Dinner/Entertainment: 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm at the Lower Frederick Fire hall.
Cost: $25 per adult and children 10+
Children under 10 are free!
Includes raffle, live entertainment, great food, and beverages!
Kids activities included. Fun for ALL ages!

Aside from coming to the amazing event and offering your support (and playing a great game of football!), we need your help to make this event a successful one. The Lannigans are covering the facilities fees to play at the Perk Valley football field, and the venue (Lower Frederick Firehall). However, we are on a limited budget and really don't want to have to take anything away from the Children's Fund in order to run the event.
If possible, we need some help from you in the following areas:

* Live Entertainment
* Banners, decorations, etc.
