Napa Valley Film Festival Cyclist Package - Watch the film Personal Gold
A DAY OF BIKE RIDING, COOKING DEMOS, HEALTHY EATING & FILM VIEWING - all in support of the Napa County Bicycle Coalition.
Start your morning off with a 30-mile bike ride through the rolling hills of the peaceful Carneros Valley, followed by a Chef & Film-maker food demo, a downtown Napa lunch, and then settle in to watch the screening of Personal Gold.
ABOUT THE FILM - AMAZING: Personal Gold: tells the unlikely but true story of four women cyclists who become America's medal hope at the London Olympics when the men's team is banned during the Lance Armstrong drug scandal.
ABOUT THE DEMO - SUPER FUN!
Chef John McConnell & Chef Matthew Accarrino, paired with NVFF film Personal Gold Filmmakers.
John McConnell, resident chef at Clif Family Winery, and SPQR's chef Matt Accarrino both love to cook and ride. Witness these powerful chefs as they create two recipes that reflect their common passions. They promise a dish that provides energy for a long bike ride, and a "recovery" dish that helps sustain an athlete after a big push. Film director Tamara Christopherson, here to present her movie Personal Gold: An Underdog Story, about the female track cycling team that persevered all odds to get to the London Olympics, takes on the role of sous chef in this energetic demo. There may be a culinary team time trial in store for the athletes the crowd!
