DAVID-BENJAMIN TOMLINSON LIVE AT THE FLYING BEAVER PUBARET!
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 24th - 7pm DAVID-BENJAMIN TOMLINSON: MEMOIRS FROM CRACKTOWN
Canadian Comedy Award nominated writer/performer David-Benjamin Tomlinson (formerly David Tomlinson, formerly Dave Tomlinson, formerly a twinkle his father's eye), returns to the stage with a brand new show all about life.
Memoirs From Cracktown is an autobiographical (ex-boyfriends you have officially been warned) experience chronicling David's move into something called adulthood, and all the unexpected complexities that come with it - like crack. Muggings. Crabs. Celebrities. Life on the red carpet. Life as a perpetually single gay guy in the big city. Life as the most hated uncle of all time.
Okay. Perhaps it's not exactly adulthood, but it's something, and he's ready to talk about it.
David-Benjamin has played to standing room only crowds from Vancouver's Sketchfest to Toronto's We're Funny That Way to Montreal's Just For Laughs Festival. He is also one of the leads on the hit web series Cordelia.
Always popular on the cabaret circuit, David-Benjamin has performed at pandemonium machine, The Keith Cole Experience, Cheap Queers, Homo Night in Canada, and Lunacy Cabaret. He is additionally a writer of feature films, television, and radio drama (Canadia). Media performance credits include the feature film Grey Gardens, the short film Trailing Arbutus, and the television series Howie Do It, Beautiful People, Train 48, Queer As Folk, and The Newsroom.
