Return of the Yin: Come Into the Centering Silence
Friday Night Reading Friday, October 23, 2015 7:00-900 Cost at the door: $15
Judith Duerk will read from her cherished books, "Circle of Stones" and "I Sit Listening to the Wind." She will also share passages from a new book in progress.
Saturday Retreat October 24, 2015 10AM - 5PM Cost: $50: space is limited; pre-registration* advised As the crispness of autumn school openings moves towards the greyness of winter, we women begin to wonder when there will be a few moments for us to share deeply and quietly, or even to have a moment for ourselves. This day will offer the wonders of women keeping silence together and the deep sharing that can come from that silence, as we speak from the centered space within each of us...exploring what we truly care about...and bringing healing for us all. We will take time for guided meditation, journaling, and drumming as well as speaking from our hearts.
Come to both the book reading and the retreat or just one of these events, as your schedule allows.
Pay for for the book reading at the door only. Sign up for the Saturday retreat here at Brown Paper Tickets.
All events will take place at Parker Memorial United Methodist Church: 1130 Nashville Avenue, New Orleans, Louisiana 70115.
Those attending the Saturday retreat should bring a journal and a blanket. If you have one, feel free to bring a drum. Lunch will be potluck; details to follow.
