The GALA LATINA is a night full of ENTERTAINMENT Latin style!
This year we will be honouring the country of Argentina and our THREE-COURSE MEAL will reflect this country. You will be serenaded by Frederic Mujica, a local Latin musician, while you enjoy your dinner. Once dessert is served, the SHOW will begin.
We will be presenting HISPANIC FOLKLORE DANCES representing different Latin American countries and Spain. All dances will be performed by volunteer children, teenagers, and adults; and a flamenco performance by Maria Osende Company.
Following the folklore dances, all guests will be invited to join a "mini salsa lesson" by Halifax Salseros. We will close the night with the after-party DANCING to Latin tunes played by DJ Kalet.
During the event we will hold a SILENT AUCTION. We are pleased to announce that this year recipient of the silent auction proceeds will be Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Halifax.
