"e" inc. hosts the Wild and Scenic Film Festival -- The Finale
The Finale: is this year's "e" inc. hosts the Wild and Scenic Film Festival closing event. It is a ticketed evening that opens with a locavore supper and music as people enjoy meeting new folks, looking at the exhibits and auction items, and appreciating the atmosphere that only The Finale generates.
Supper is followed by a film viewing across the bridge at the Children's Museum Theater. This year, we are pleased to have 2 documentaries of 'action people' who hail from Massachusetts.
The first film will be: Marion Stoddart: The Work of 1000 --the story of the hard-won and eventually successful campaign by Marion Stoddart to save the Nashua River. The second is: With My Own 2 Wheels, a film that teaches the wonderful impact of 5 international bike programs that furnish bikes to people, and by doing so, alter their lives as they gain 'their own 2 wheels.' Boston's own Bikes not Bombs is featured, as is the director of their international program -- David Branigan.
After the films, "e" inc. Director Dr. Ricky Stern, will be awarding "e" inc.'s "Children's Planet Protector" Award to Marion Stoddart and to David Branigan, followed by a brief Q and A.
We adjourn back to the Atrium where dessert and coffee is served and auction winners are announced.
