ON THE ICE movie
Gold Town Theater is proud to present the premiere of a new feature film shot entirely on location in Barrow, Alaska. ON THE ICE, which was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance Film Festival, and won the Best First Feature Award at the Berlin Film Festival, tells the harrowing story of two Inupiaq teenagers who, after a tragic accident, weave a web of lies, testing the bonds of friendship, community, and family. As part of the premiere, the director, Andrew Okpeaha MacLean, and producer Cara Marcous, will conduct a Q & A session after each screening.
