Take Action to Improve Air Quality in Georgetown
You are invited! September 26, from 10:15 a.m. to 2 p.m., DRCC/TAG and project partners will be hosting a community workshop at the South Seattle College, Georgetown Campus (6737 Corson Ave. S) as part of the Duwamish Community Action for Clean Air project.
What will we be doing at the workshop? 10:15am to 12:00pm - Share information with the community about air quality in the Duwamish Valley - Discuss data gaps that project partners and community members have identified - Share the findings of the research currently underway about tentative projects to improve air quality in the Duwamish Valley and to reduce exposure to air pollution for local residents LOCAL RESIDENTS WILL PRIORITIZE THE PROJECTS THAT WILL BE FUNDED AND IMPLEMENTED! - Launch an online air quality map and community monitoring tool
12:30 to 2:00pm
Build your own high-quality air filter all materials and instructions will be provided! This will be offered to community members that have participated in the Healthy Home Assessments or who sign up for one prior or at the event.
