ABOUT THE AUTHORS...
Margaret Wheatley Margaret Wheatley is a well-respected writer, speaker, and teacher for how we can accomplish our work, sustain our relationships, and willingly step forward to serve in this troubling time. She has written six books: Walk Out Walk On; Perseverance; Leadership and the New Science; Turning to One Another: Simple Conversations to Restore Hope to the Future; A Simpler Way; and Finding Our Way: Leadership for an Uncertain Time. She is co-founder and President emerita of The Berkana Institute, which works in partnership with a rich diversity of people and communities around the world that find their health and resilience by discovering the wisdom and wealth already present in their people, traditions and environment. Wheatley received her doctorate in Organizational Behavior and Change from Harvard University, a Masters in Media Ecology from New York University, and numerous awards and honorary doctorates.
Deborah Frieze is an author, entrepreneur, business strategist and social activist. Her unique perspective on leadership and building healthy communities reflects an MBA from Harvard Business School, a career as an executive in the high-tech industry as well as a rich history with peace and reconciliation leadership in grassroots organizations all over the world. As former co- president of the Berkana Institute and co-founder of the Berkana Exchange, she has created strong and sustainable relationships with people around the world who are discovering that whatever the problem, community is the answer.
