MARIN BAROQUE presents "And all in Friendly Consort Meet...", Celebratory Music for the Utrecht Peace Treaties - 1713, Works by G.F. Handel
MARIN BAROQUE opens its 2015-2016 season with a program honoring one of the greatest peace treaties of all times. The concert is entitled "And all in Friendly Consort Meet.." Celebratory Music for the Utrecht Peace Treaties - 1713. The Marin Baroque Chamber Choir and period instrument Orchestra will present works written by George Frideric Handel, "Ode for the Birthday of Queen Anne, HWV 74" and "Jubilate, HWV 279".
The San Domenico School Virtuoso Program's Orchestra da Camara will open the concert with Vivaldi's G Major "Alla rustica". This is the second season in which the Orchestra da Camara, comprised of outstanding high school, string instrumentalists, joins Marin Baroque.
A complimentary reception follows the performance.
