THE SKINNY
Have you ever been stung by a bee that had nothing against you? Or bitten by a dog who otherwise seemed to like you? Or fell, due to gravity not your own?
Or hurt someone you loved, or used to love, or never did?
Set in a hospital and in a theatre, THE FLU SEASON is a love story, a reluctant one, a love story in spite of itself. Alive and unpredictable, our play follows the lives of four people trying to survive the winter in a psychiatric hospital. Shaped and re-shaped by two narrators, Prologue and Epilogue, this dark comedy navigates the swells and slumps of the ever-shifting human heart.
Join the lovers in the vacant cafeteria of the former Columbia St. Mary's building on the upper East Side as we examine storytelling and why stories, like relationships, don't always go as planned.
Featuring ensemble members Tess Cinpinski and Andrew Voss with Greg Flattery, Cheryl Roloff, Jason Waszak and Ken Williams.
TICKETS Only $15 - Tickets will be sold online until 6:00pm every evening. - Tickets will be sold at the door 45 min before the performance. Cash only at the door.
'Leap of Faith' Subscriptions only $55 We are curious - are you willing to trust us, take a risk and subscribe to a season with THE FLU SEASON and 3 mystery shows?
We won't give any hints, except to let the quality and uniqueness of our last 12 productions speak for what to expect (but then still expect the unexpected).
IF YOU ARE THE "PLAN THINGS OUT" THEATERGOER Once you subscribe, we will contact you as dates and details are finalized for the remaining shows. Leap of Faith subscribers get first stab at reserving their tickets - which can be pretty sweet considering the cool locations you'll find our plays in.
IF YOU ARE THE "DECIDE THE NIGHT OF" THEATERGOER Say you haven't seen one of the shows yet in our season and, on a whim, decide to go to the venue and see if there are tickets available, that's cool too! Just bring a photo ID and we'll make note of your attendance, as long as we haven't sold out. With our limited audience capacities, however, we strongly encourage that you reserve your seats ahead of time.
** A subscription consists of 4 tickets, one for each show of the 2012 season, to be used by the purchaser.
