Event
Central Waters River Run
On October 10, 2015, we host our annual River Run, a 2 mile walk or 5 mile run, to benefit the Lettie Jensen Community Center in Amherst, WI. After the run, we host our Greater Amherst Beer Fest, with breweries from across the Midwest, and sometimes beyond, showcasing their products. Live music, food, and free to get in, you just pay for the beer you drink and the food you eat!
Also, this is when we will release bottles of Black Gold. This is our popular Anniversary series stout, aged for three years in oak bourbon barrels. This is one of our rarest offerings, and we made enough this year to have a full scale release of it. Because the one street that leads to the brewery is blocked off for the run, and doesn't open until after 11 AM, we are doing the same type of ticket sale for this one as we do our Anniversary beers, so folks do not need to arrive early to get the beer or stand in line.
Here are the finer details...
Buying your ticket here for $5 reserves your spot to purchase up to 5 22oz bottles of Black Gold for $20 each. Cash only the day of. ATMs will be onsite. Your $5 will be donated to the Jensen Center.
Bottles will be available for pickup between Noon and 4pm. You must bring your ticket supplied by Brown Paper Tickets to purchase your bottles, and bring a valid photo ID.
NO PROXY BUYING
If, after 4pm, all bottles are not sold, we will open them up for first come first served with limits based on how much is left.
There will be free shuttles running from Stevens Point Hotels (Comfort Suites, Econolodge and Holiday Inn), so buy your bottles and enjoy the fest!
See you in a month!
