Random Dope with DJ mikeflo, Hosted by Sellassie
In a collaborative effort, DJ mikeflo and Sellassie come together in producing the first in a series, "RANDOM DOPE" (A cornucopia of pure. uncut. dope. music. period.) The show will feature a 3 hour feature set by mikeflo of dead prez with special guest djs and will be hosted by S.F.'s own Sellassie.
About mikeflo: www.mikeflomusic.com Born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, mikeflo (emcee/producer/DJ) of the RBG family, has not only made a name for himself in the hip hop community in the states but has captured the attention of music lovers all over the world by using the spirit and stamina of a conscious emcee to sketch working class revolutionary thoughts on the canvas of the listener's mind. mikeflo has done what few emcees have been able to do. He has creatively merged "conscious" lyrics with an intense sonic backdrop to create music with a powerful message that forces you to nod your head religiously, truly an "overground" sound.
mikeflo has been billed all over the world alongside some of the biggest names in hip-hop, including: Nas, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Kanye West, dead prez, Common, Rick Ross, Slum Village, Outkast, KRS-ONE, A Tribe Called Quest, Dj Premier, Dj Drama, DJ Green Lantern, and a host of other industry heavyweights.
His latest releases, Less Is More (produced by Leo Goetz) and Fly, Fresh & Responsible, have proven to fans that mikeflo's music embodies the essence of power. With tracks like, Habara Gani, Big Band, The Line, and a host of industry takeovers on the FFR mixtape, flo's growth as an artist is evident, and his connection with his audience seems to grow with each release. When flo isn't behind the mic you can find him all over the globe on tour as dead prez's resident DJ. Whether running the dead prez show, or spinning after parties from LA to New Zealand, flo stays on the move rocking crowds and maintaining a standard nothing short of captivating.
