The Rivals by Richard Brinsley Sheridan presented by Verse and Vodka Theater
Lurid novels, clueless suitors, young women making bad marital choices - it's high society in 1775 or 2015. Two hundred and forty years later, The Rivals is as funny as when George Washington loved it. (He really did.) Come laugh at the jokes that made George almost spit his dentures.
Our shows are performed semi-staged with scripts in hand and actors moving among the audience. The bar opens at 7:00, one hour before the play starts, so bring your dinner and make a night of it. Stay after the show to mingle with the cast and your friends until we shut the place down at 11:00.
Buy 8 tickets in advance, and we'll reserve a table for your party so you're guaranteed seats together. Online ticket sales end at 2 pm on the day of the show, but ticket availability at the door will be posted on our website (www.verseandvodka.com).
