The Zoo Story
Produced by the Guild Theatre this one act play was written by distinguished american playwright Edward Albee. It is notable as his first play penned in 1958 and written in just 3 weeks. Albee explores themes of isolation, loneliness, miscommunication and social disparity at a time when the civil rights issues were about to boil over in the US. At a time when the difference between the 1% and the rest of our society is a talking point, Albee's observations in 'The Zoo Story' resonate across the decades reminding us of how far we still need to go. After each performance the actors will host a talk back with the audience affording the opportunity to interact and explore the play in more depth. THIS PLAY IS RECOMMENDED FOR MATURE AUDIENCES DUE TO LANGUAGE AND ADULT THEMES.
