Capriccio Stravagante
The internationally-acclaimed baroque ensemble REBEL will perform a program of whimsical and allegorical music of the 17th- & 18th centuries by Biber, Schmelzer, Farina, Guido & Telemann, performed on period instruments. The centerpiece of the program is Carlo Farina's masterpiece, 'Capriccio Stravagante', a musical representation of animals from the inside and outside the barnyard. The performers are Jörg-Michael Schwarz and Karen Marie Marmer, violins; Risa Browder, viola; John Moran, cello; Motomi Igarashi, bass and Dongsok Shin, harpsichord.
A fully-catered, meet-the-artists reception follows the concert to which all are invited.
