Bag It - Is Your Life Too Plastic?
Saturday, March 10 Environment Washington Presents Bag It - Is Your Life Too Plastic? 3:30pm doors/4:00pm screening. Admission: $5.50 - $12.00 sliding scale at the box office night of show or at www.brownpapertickets.com.
Is your life too plastic? Are you overwhelmed by the throw-away society we're living in? Concerned about the impact our trash is having on our wildlife? Plastics are an increasing threat to the health of our oceans and Puget Sound, but there's something you can do to help. Join Environment Washington to take action and learn more. We'll be showing the movie Bag It, a story that follows your average guy on a discovery of how plastic his life really is. Bag It has been garnering awards at film festivals across the nation. What started as a documentary about plastic bags evolved into a wholesale investigation into plastics and their effect on our waterways, oceans, and even our bodies. From bags, to bottles, to packaging and beyond, plastics are everywhere, even places you wouldn't even think of! Proceeds benefit Environment Washington's efforts to ban plastic bags across the state of Washington, including here in Thurston County!
