ABOUT THE SHOW
Host LAURIE ELLIOTT has made a name for herself as one of the most versatile and entertaining comics in Canada. While lending her writing skills and voice to many cartoons, she's also a mainstay on CBC Radio'sThe Debaters. Laurie also has extensive credits in writing and performing that include The Red Green Show, The Jon Dore Television Show, Almost Heroes, Scaredy Squirrel and more. Special guest SANDRA BATTAGLINI is an award winning stand-up comic, actor/writer and made her directorial debut with Chinatown. She is the 2013 Canadian Comedy Award winner for her solo show, Classy Lady. Past performances include, Hard Headed Woman (Canadian Comedy Award Winner 2007),Small Battalion of Soldiers (Canadian Comedy Award Nomination). She's toured with Yuk Yuks and Absolute Comedy and co-hosts one of Toronto's most alternative comedy nights, Family Slides and The Sal & Sandy Show. Your headliner PETER WILDMAN is an actor, writer and comedian perhaps best known as a founding member of The Frantics, one of Canada's most beloved and respected comedy troupes featured on their early 1980s CBC radio seriesFrantic Times and their 1984 TV show Four On The Floor. Since those days, Peter has appeared on The New Red Green Show, Puppets Who Kill, Little Mosque on the Prairie and Murdoch Mysteries. An ever present voice in animation and radio, Wildman today tours his one man show "One Funny Song After Another" across Canada, bringing a guitar and 30 years of comedy, leading him to be called "one of Canada's funniest men.." by The Toronto Star. http://www.peterwildman.com/
And THE COINCIDENCE MEN is an improv supertroupe made up of Kerry Griffin, Rob Hawke, Ralph MacLeod, Gord Oxley and Marcel St. Pierre, all respected vets of Toronto's improv, sketch and comedy scene. Between the five of them, they share credits together and solo on screen, film and television. In other combinations, two of them are Gemini-Award winning musical comedy duo Fast n Dirty. Three of them are the shortform improv juggernaut known as The Gee Spots. A different three of them were the founding members and creative force behind The Bad Dog Theatre Company. Three of them are Second City alums and two of them currently are driving forces behind The Social Capital Theatre on The Danforth. They share 100 years of collective improv, sketch and stand-up comedy experience between them, and a slew of nods from the likes of The Canadian Screen Awards, The Canadian Comedy Awards and The Dora Mavor Moore Awards.
