Intermediate Theatre Skills and Performance
Class meets on Tuesdays. September 15th to December 8th. Two times available: 4:00-5:00 or 5:15-6:15
Teaches further skills in imagination, characterization, and performance techniques. Auditions for the spring show will be held at the end of the fall semester.
About the Teacher
Laura Hutchings has been involved with PCT's Children's Program for more than 5 years. She taught the Teen classes and served as the Children's Coordinator before taking over the 4th through 7th grade classes. She has also been involved with the adult theatre as both a director and performer. She received her BFA in Theatre from TCU and has teaching ever since. Since creating the Theatre Department at North Lamar High School, she has led her cast to UIL State One Act Play Competition six times. NLHS won the OAP State Championship in 2010, placed 2nd once, and 3rd two different years.
