The Best of SPIDER SALOFF Concert
"Slyly sophisticated, easily accessible, Saloff stands as a kind of ideal." -Chicago Tribune
"She is dynamic, a powerhouse of passion!" -San Francisco Examiner
Beloved, Chicago-based vocalist Spider Saloff returns for a rare appearance in San Francisco! A lively evening of music and comedic wit, Spider's concert includes a collection of jazz classics, American Songbook, including the works of Cole Porter, Irving Berlin and George Gershwin, plus Saloff's original material, some of which is from her award winning musical "The Roar of the Butterfly." Spider will be accompanied by Bay Area favorite and acclaimed pianist, Ken Muir. The presentation will include her own personal twist in making the classic songbook have a contemporary feel, as well as stories about where the music came from and the composers. It will be an energized evening of pure entertainment.
