Tim Palmieri Santana Workshop & Borboletta Performance
We're thrilled to offer a unique and intimate learning experience with one of the most versatile and skilled guitar players on the scene today. You probably know Tim's guitar playing best from his work in The Breakfast & Kung Fu. But he's also a master of capturing and recreating the tones and styles of specific musicians he admires most. If you've ever seen him participate in tribute super-groups like The Z3 (Zappa), Good Time Boys (RHCP) and his Beatles A-Z project, you know what I mean.
In that spirit, 2 years ago Tim joined forces with many of the top players in the area to bring to life the best music from Santana, in a band called Borboletta. They debuted this lineup in a set at Gathering of the Vibes 2 years ago that people still talk about. And they've gotten back together for just 2 incredible shows in our room, each time debuting fresh, challenging material from deep in Santana's extensive catalog.
Now they are back again for a third hit, before taking this unique performance up to Catskill Chill.
This time we're doing something special. Tim, who happens to also be a great and experienced music educator, has offered to host a workshop on this material for those local players (of all ages) who want to go deeper to understand what makes this music so powerful and distinctive.
Bring your instrument, and your ears, and you'll be treated to a unique afternoon that will help you appreciate this music even more. To make this a no-brainer we're offering two attractively priced ticket options:
1) The Santana Workshop for $15
2) The Santana Workshop and a discounted ticket to the Borboletta show for $20
A perfect way to spend an afternoon and evening. Come get some insights that can help you up your game and then see those techniques put into practice with one of the tightest bands around. Borboletta including members of Deep Banana Blackout, Kung-Fu and the Ryan Montbleau Band.
