The Theater of Public Policy (11-9)
Described by the Star Tribune as what would happen C-SPAN were suddenly swarmed by the cast of SNL, The Theater of Public Policy uses improv comedy to reframe hard, thinky stuff. Each show features an interview with an expert guest or newsmaker that is brought to life through unpredictable improv comedy. It's a little like civics class, only with comedy, theater, and beer.
Finnegans Food Drive: The Theater of Public Policy is thrilled to be partnering with Finnegans. Together we'll drink beer and feed the hungry. Bring a non-perishable canned good to any T2P2 show at the Bryant-Lake Bowl and receive $2 off a Finnegans that night! We'll put all the donations in a barrel, and the night it's filled to the top, everyone in the audience will get a free Finnegans!
TONIGHT'S GUEST: Melvin Tennant
President & CEO, Meet Minneapolis Have you ever had trouble convincing friends from other parts of the country to visit you in the Twin Cities? Maybe because they think it's too cold here, or because they guessed it's not exciting, or because they heard 10,000 lakes and assumed everyone who lives here are water-breathing fish hybrid people that only eat kelp. Well, imagine trying to convince tens of thousands of people from all over the world to visit Minneapolis each year. That's Melvin Tennant's job and we'll ask him all about it, as well as where he buys his kelp.
