The Theater of Public Policy (11-2)
Described by the Star Tribune as what would happen C-SPAN were suddenly swarmed by the cast of SNL, The Theater of Public Policy uses improv comedy to reframe hard, thinky stuff. Each show features an interview with an expert guest or newsmaker that is brought to life through unpredictable improv comedy. It's a little like civics class, only with comedy, theater, and beer.
Finnegans Food Drive: The Theater of Public Policy is thrilled to be partnering with Finnegans. Together we'll drink beer and feed the hungry. Bring a non-perishable canned good to any T2P2 show at the Bryant-Lake Bowl and receive $2 off a Finnegans that night! We'll put all the donations in a barrel, and the night it's filled to the top, everyone in the audience will get a free Finnegans!
TONIGHT'S GUEST: Dr. Doug Chapin
Head of Humphrey School's Elections Academy In 2013, the United States Supreme Court struck down key parts of the 1965 Voting Rights Act. In the coming term, it's expected the court will take up another challenge to the VRA. Few people are more qualified to provide insight and analysis on what effect these decisions have had and may have going forward on citizens access to the ballot box.
