The Theater of Public Policy (10-19)
Described by the Star Tribune as what would happen C-SPAN were suddenly swarmed by the cast of SNL, The Theater of Public Policy uses improv comedy to reframe hard, thinky stuff. Each show features an interview with an expert guest or newsmaker that is brought to life through unpredictable improv comedy. It's a little like civics class, only with comedy, theater, and beer.
Finnegans Food Drive: The Theater of Public Policy is thrilled to be partnering with Finnegans. Together we'll drink beer and feed the hungry. Bring a non-perishable canned good to any T2P2 show at the Bryant-Lake Bowl and receive $2 off a Finnegans that night! We'll put all the donations in a barrel, and the night it's filled to the top, everyone in the audience will get a free Finnegans!
TONIGHT'S GUEST: Anthony Newby
Executive Director, Neighborhoods Organizing for Change In less time than it takes to refine a bottle of tabasco, Neighborhoods Organizing for Change, or NOC, has built a member-led organization aimed at "building power in under-resourced communities and communities of color across the Twin Cities." We'll ask NOC's executive director, Anthony Newby, about the challenges and opportunities facing these communities.
