Ken Waldman As Alaska's Fiddling Poet, Ken Waldman has been touring for over twelve years. Since 2000, he's had seven CDs come out that combine old-time Appalachian-style string-band music with original poetry and Alaska-set storytelling. Since that time he's also had six full-length poetry collections published and a non-fiction book, ARE YOU FAMOUS? (Catalyst Book Press, 2008), which has the subtitle Touring America with Alaska's Fiddling Poet. This new book is part memoir, part travelogue, and part artist how-to. Earliest readers are comparing it to the work of Steinbeck, Kerouac, Kesey, and Wiilliam Least Heat-Moon's Blue Highways.
Hey Chere! It's the happiest sad music around! Featuring fiddle and accordion tunes and songs from the early Cajun French tradition.
