Al Parrish
His huge, charismatic presence, boundless energy, and "that voice" (once described on CBC as being "halfway between melted chocolate and sex") brought Canadian, American and British fans to Tanglefoot shows for 17 years.
Now performing solo, Al's repertoire includes new, original material, some carefully chosen covers including a couple of traditional songs, and some Tanglefoot favorites. Al plays these songs on acoustic guitar, on his trademark double bass, or simply sings them a capella.
In January 2011, producer-extraordinaire Paul Mills recorded Al's sold-out solo concert at Kitchener's Registry Theatre. This has become Al's first solo CD, Propensity for Joy.
