Fright at the Fort : Prison Break | Frissons au Fort: L'évasion à la prison
The Friends of Lower Fort Garry are pleased to support online ticket sales for this Parks Canada event.
Fear comes to the fort when an epidemic sweeps the grounds, claiming the lives of many of its inhabitants. Who or what is wreaking such havoc? Could it be tuberculosis claiming lives or the mythical and terrifying Windigo making his rounds?
Enter the grounds at your own risk as you encounter the locals who remain behind, mourning their dead.
Pay your respects to the deceased as you partake in Victorian mourning customs and a traditional funeral wake. But watch your back, because you could be the next victim.
If you survive, finish your evening with a visit to the Thirsty Beaver Tavern, have a beer and pose for a picture with one of the freshly departed. The tavern is run by the Friends of Lower Fort Garry.
Suitable for ages 14+
Tickets also available at the door, although entry is dependent upon available tickets at the time.

Les Amis de Lower Fort Garry sont heureux de soutenir les ventes de billets en ligne pour cet événement de Parcs Canada.
La peur s'éveille au fort lorsqu'une épidémie fait des ravages dans la population. Qu'est-ce qui en est la cause? S'agirait-il de la tuberculose qui coûte la vie à tant de pauvres âmes, ou alors est-ce le mythique et terrifiant Windigo qui rôde ?
Entrez à vos risques et périls et faites connaissance avec les voisins qui ont survécu et pleurent les morts.
Rendez hommage aux personnes décédées en découvrant les coutumes de deuil de l'époque victorienne et en participant à une veillée mortuaire traditionnelle. Mais surveillez vos arrières, vous pourriez être la prochaine victime.
Si vous survivez, passez au Thirsty Beaver pour boire un bière et vous faire prendre en photo avec de récents disparus. La taverne est gérée par les Amis de Lower Fort Garry.
