Have you ever thought about becoming a presenter? Find out how to go about it at this panel discussion.

Did you ever think about being a presenter at clubs and conferences?  After all, you may have a special talent or unique POV to share. And also there's all that glamour, excitement, adulation and recognition, travel to exotic venues, etc., etc., but are there any downsides.  (Most assuredly there are; it ain't all skittles and beer).

This panel discussion is intended for those of you interested in doing presentations at various venues. The panel consist of both presenters and event organizers.  There'll be Unc', both a presenter and an event organizer, Jay Wiseman, a well known author and presenter, Ms. Tender, both a presenter and event organizer - of such events as NWLC and Folsom Fringe, and one of Spot's own Education Coordinators, Master_Defiant.

The panel will be able to share their unique perspective -- both from the presenter's side and the event organizer's side -- of offering and promoting yourself as a presenter, applying for gigs, presentation preparation, actually doing presentations, travel hints and kinks, compensations, dealing with presenters, dealing with the gigs and venues, and many other bits of this and that -- an information-packed panel discussion.

Unc' will be the Panel Moderator and there'll be plenty of time for Q&A.

This is a MUST ATTEND class for new presenters.

Bios

Unc, The Panel's Moderator -- Uncle Abdul (or just plain Unc') is the nom de plum of a California man who is a retired professional electrical engineer. Also Unc' has been a respected member of the San Francisco Bay Area BDSM community since 1980. During this time he has lectured on electrical play and other BDSM and sexually related topics to many BDSM and professional groups in the US, Canada, and Russia.

Jay Wiseman, Apart from his being a long-serving and respected Community member, presenter, expert witness, researcher, and author (he has written many books on different subjects since his first one, "S/M 101"), Jay has presented all over the US and Canada on the various subjects he's written on and is widely regarded as an expert on these subjects.

MsTender, MsTender has been in the scene about over 15 years. She's living the poly switch lifestyle, complete with 3 partners, 2 children still living at home with 5 out in the world, 3 dogs, 1 cat, and 5 beta fish (don't ask). It works via understanding, love, communication, and of course magic. She currently works at Leathers Masters since 2011, was smOdyssey, Inc.'s President 2009-2013, Vice President 2007-2008, coordinated Folsom Fringe 2009-2014, and was one of the founders of BBW and their Admirers.

She is deeply involved with her leather family Casa de Chaos in the Bay Area and across the US, and has helped organize fun events kinky and non kinky since 2000. They have hosted the PROvert's munch since Sept 2001.

Master_Defiant is one of the Spot's Education Coordinators, and is also a Member of TGIF. As Education Coordinator he works tirelessly to find presenters for the Spot. He did a similar job at TGIF for many years, and, as such, has developed a large Roll-a-dex which he willingly shares with us.
