Fire Pink Trio
Newton-Conover Auditorium Presents Fire Pink Trio In Concert!
Saturday, November 21st at 7:30 p.m.
The Fire Pink Trio brings together three women on three different instruments: Jacquelyn Bartlett on the harp, Sheila Browne on the viola and Debra Reuter-Pivetta on the flute. Just as each instrument has its uniquely beautiful voice, each member of Fire Pink Trio brings to the group a multitude of accolades including top prizes in international competitions, concerto performances and critically acclaimed recordings. They perform a variety of music from romantic to contemporary, latin and jazz by a wide range of composers from Saint Saens and Debussy to Bax and Britten to contemporary composers Adrienne Albert, Dan Locklair, Harald Genzmer, and Manuel Moreno-Buendia. Jacquelyn Bartlett and Sheila Browne are both currently members of the artist faculties at UNC School of the Arts and Debra Reuter-Pivetta is an alumni.
This Saturday evening concert is the culmination of a two-day residency with Fire Pink Trio, presented in great thanks to a grant from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts Foundation, Inc.
Fire Pink Trio will also be performing on the Bach's Lunch 'n' Listen series and conducting master classes for Catawba County Students.
