Unplug Grandma

Fierce Backbone presents a workshop production of UNPLUG GRANDMA, a new work by award winning playwright Jeremy Kehoe. In this one of a kind new dark comedy, Senior citizens are sucking the U.S. economy dry, the government is determined to eliminate the problem, and Chase Handlebar is their man. His mission is to weed out the non-productive within the senior circuit with extreme prejudice and rapidly relishes his lethal role with patriotic fervor. At his side through it all is his wife, Muffy, whose conviction that their love can weather Chase's transformation from devoted husband to callous killer crumbles with every belt notch Chase collects. Unable to push Chase off his new career path through appeals to his hardening conscience, Muffy resorts to the role of saboteur -- forging an underground movement for senior survival. Only through one final showdown with Chase at the Florida Wall will we know if reconciliation is possible if love can conquer all or if Chase's commitment to put country over family will prevail.
