Pepperwood Rocks! The Geology of the Pepperwood Preserve
The features we see all around us are controlled by geology, from the unique topography of the Coast Ranges to the soils and plants that thrive here. Learn the basic concepts of geology, earth history, and the rock cycle, with Rebecca Perlroth, geology instructor at the Santa Rosa Junior College. She will also show how the Pepperwood landscape is a representation of its physical location and its impressive geologic history.
Ages 14 and up welcome.
