Parradox + One People (Wan Pipel) Parradox tells the story of the rise and fall of Pim de la Parra, from the 60s to the 90s, a controversial and creative genius who produced and directed dozens of films and changed the Dutch film industry. It's a film about creativity and passion, about tragedy and happiness. Pim de la Parra, who was born and raised in Suriname, a Dutch colony which became independent in 1975 made the first film shot in Suriname in 1976 about the people and his homeland. It was badly received and was the reason for the downfall of his very successful filmmaking career in Holland. The film, One People (Wan Pipel) has since been given a new life and many awards. 2010, Holland, 89 min, English, Dutch with English subtitles; Directed by In-soo Radstak
