A TASTE OF TANGO

Attention all lovers! Celebrate the spirit of Valentine's Day with a special and elegant music and dance experience at the popular A Taste Of Tango event, presented by TEATRO Sí, the premier Hispanic theater arts company of New Jersey. This special romantic evening comes to the area at the intimate ballroom at the Knights of Columbus of Westfield, located at 2400 North Avenue, Scotch Plains, NJ. on Saturday, February 18, 2012 from 7pm to 11pm.
This special interactive music and dance experience brings to you the essence of Tango Argentino by offering to you a chance to mingle with some of the best guest performers of this world acclaimed South American music and dance form!
The presentation includes a Tango classics concert performance by the Tito Castro Tango Trio with legendary Argentinean musician Maestro Tito Castro on bandoneon accompanied by violinist Franchinito Iwaki and bassist Thomas Kirchmer.
Enjoy the gifted dance interpretation demos by Tango dance couples Silvana Brizuela and Jose Fluk & Carol Winick and Dante Polichetti as they meld with the sounds of the concert trio to recreate a passionate evening in Buenos Aires for all in attendance.
The evening includes a Tango dance lesson and practica for all that is perfect for beginners followed by an authentic milonga Argentina or Tango dance party. Have fun learning the basics of Tango dance and also enjoy an included selection of tapas style appetizers, desserts and beverages.
