Masquerade

The latest in variety shows is coming to the Playground Theater. Masquerade is going to perform an eight week romp at the Playground Theater, starting Friday, January 27th and ending March 16th. The show runs Fridays at 10pm.

A sad and lonely Monarch can't seem to shake his blues. So, he's left it up to his underlings to search the city to find some of the most entertaining performers.

Masquerade is a variety show unlike any other. Conceived by regular performers at the Playground Theater, the Masquerade is one part show, two parts party. There will be special performances by burlesque troupes, circus performers, solo acts, magicians, improv teams, and sketch comedy like none other.

The show's run at the Playground Theater promises to be exciting for people with an array of interests. A weekly guest of honor promises something unique, and a featured ensemble of characters and artists return each week with something new.

Conceived and performed by graduates of both the iO and The Second City Conservatory and programs, the Masquerade is a celebration of culture, performed in the heart of Boystown. The show is $10. The Playground Theater is also a BYOB venue.
