In hot and steamy 1940s New Orleans, faded southern beauty, Blanche Dubois, turns to her sister, Stella, for constant support. But Blanche's fragile world crumbles as she confronts Stella's ruthless husband, Stanley Kowalski. One of America's most iconic plays, this Pulitzer Prize winning drama is filled with love, loss and illusion.

Director Tom Johnson is happy to be returning to Northfield Arts Guild, having played Kevin in last year's Inspecting Carol. For many years, Tom was community advisor and a frequent director for Punchinello Players. He most recently directed WASP, by Steve Martin, for Sweet Charities. Other plays directed by Tom, include The Time of Your Life, The Playboy of the Western World,The Glass Menagerie, and the North American premiere of Isak Dinesen'sThe Revenge of Truth.
