Black Nativity
Amun Ra Theatre presents Nashville's 4th Annual Holiday Tradition, Langston Hughes' classic gospel musical song-play: a rousing musical celebration with dance, singing, poetry, and movement that has risen to the top of Nashvillian's Holiday to-do list.
This year's production will be directed by Persephone Felder-Fentress and choreographed by Dr. Peter A. Fields, Jr., with musical direction by melvin "MAESTRO" lightford, jr. The show will have a run at the newly-renovated Z. Alexander Looby Theatre in Metrocenter, then do a one-night only special engagement at the Cox/Lewis Theatre in the Performing Arts Center of Tennessee State University as a benefit for the new Women's Center at TSU.
