If you think the current tech revolution is intense, get ready for SECRETS OF SILICON VALLEY, a 2001 exposé of the hidden downsides of the first Internet revolution. Told without narration, the film chronicles a tumultuous year in the lives of two young activists, Magda Escobar and Raj Jayadev, grappling with temporary work, the gap between the haves and the have nots, Carly Fiorina and Bill Clinton's visits to East Palo Alto, and venture capitalists racing go-carts down Sand Hill Road. A prophetic look suggesting how the 'creative destruction' of the first tech boom would morph into today's 'disruptive' economy.
