ECHO Chamber Orchestra - Looking Back
ECHO Chamber Orchestra will play the first concert of their season on Saturday, October 3, at the First Presbyterian Church in San Anselmo at 7:30pm. Led by renowned Argentinian conductor Daniel Canosa, ECHO is comprised of a select group of musicians, most of whom play in other prominent bay area orchestras, including the Marin Symphony, the Santa Rosa Symphony, the San Francisco Symphony and Ballet and the San Jose Opera.
The theme for this concert will be Looking Back, and will include Tchaikovsky's Variations on a Rococo Theme featuring cello soloist Joel Cohen, Ravel's Le Tombeau de Couperin and Stravinsky's Pulcinella Suite.
This concert follows ECHO's glorious debut concert last April. The San Francisco Classical Voice said about their debut concert, "The experience was specialnot only was the music beautiful, but it also felt incredibly personal."
ECHO is an extremely rare and unique group because the programs are all a result of collaboration between conductor and orchestra, a rare and precious quality. But what really sets them apart is their passion about the musicthey came together with the sole purpose of playing beautiful and inspiring music in an extremely personal way, and conveying that "magic" to their audience.
A complimentary wine reception will be held immediately following the performance.
