How to Write Like I Do with Robert Horton
A radical suggestion: criticism is also writing. Not journalism, not a teaching tool, but writing with a capital W, the job of forming ideas on a blank page that conjure up beauty or wit or savagery. H.L. Mencken said the motive of the critic was the same as that of the artist, to "make an articulate noise in the world," and Robert Horton will use his experiences as a film critic and graphic-novel author to find the place where art and criticism meet.
