Chris Pahud & The Red Sky Pirates
AAARGH matey!.......It's time for Chris Pahud & The Red Sky Pirates! Since releasing his first CD, "Red Sky in the Morning", in 2009, it's been a fun ride for Pahud and his crew of merry pirates. Before "Red Sky" came out, Chris was best-known as a festival stage host and an all-round wonderful bass-baritone folk singer. Since then, he is getting the airplay he deserves and making new fans wherever he goes. And this is no ordinary scurvy crew playing with him -- he's bringing Seth Connelly - guitar wizard, songwriter, studio musician, Hatrack Gallagher -- perhaps the best blues harmonica player east of the Mississippi, Jim Edwards -- a man born with a Fender Precision bass in his hands, and Ken Batts, master accordionist. Some of these folks have appeared at the Homegrown with Hatrack's trio, or as the Salty Dawgs, or as a feature at three New Year's Needham shows. Whether they're climbing a mainmast, walking a plank, or laying down blues tracks, they are guaranteed to leave you happy. CHRIS PAHUD & The Red Sky Pirates at the Homegrown Coffeehouse, Saturday, January 21, at 8:00 P.M.
The Homegrown Coffeehouse is located at the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church, at the corner of Great Plain and Dedham Avenue in Needham center.
