Art In The Bar - Art Workshops by Private Picassos
Rather than simply copying the instructor, students in our program will be introduced to basic art techniques through a short demonstration, followed by ample time to explore the materials on their own.
Participants will receive exclusive drink specials to get their creative juices flowing!
Included in prices are all art materials, inspirational images and take home literature.

Saturday September 12th 2-4pm - Foliage and Flowers - We'll use Sycamore's lush garden and bouquets from Stems for inspiration, with each student working towards completing a final painting.
Saturday December 19th 2-4pm - Greeting Card Creation - Students will create handmade watercolor cards, just in time for the holiday season! Basic watercolor and composition techniques will be explored, with each student creating a set of unique cards.
Saturday January 16th 4:30-6:30pm - Watercolor Workshop - This workshop will focus on basic watercolor technique, as well as an exploration of resist methods including oil pastels and masking fluid.
Wednesday January 27th 7-9pm - Drawing Workshop - This workshop will focus on basic observational drawing technique, using interesting objects provided by the group to create a still life as the subject matter.
Saturday February 20th 4:30-6:30pm - Acrylic on Canvas Workshop - This workshop will explore basic painting techniques, focused on acrylic paint. Each student will create one practice painting, followed by one final painting on canvas.
Wednesday February 17th 7-9pm - Collage Workshop - This workshop will explore collage and the many traditional and non-traditional ways it can be used in art making.
Saturday March 19th 4:30-6:30pm - Watercolor Workshop - This workshop will focus on basic watercolor technique, as well as an exploration of resist methods to create a self portrait resist.
Wednesday March 30th 7-9pm - Printmaking Workshop - This workshop will explore collagraph printmaking, a relief printmaking technique that uses textured low relief objects to create a printing plate. Each student will create their own unique edition of prints.
