The House Beautiful Lecture Series
Evergreen Museum & Library's fifth annual The House Beautiful lecture series explores nationalism in design, with three illustrated talks by architect and author Hermes Mallea (March 28: "Great Houses of Havana: A Century of Cuban Style"); architect and interior designer John J. Tackett (April 25: "A Devotion to Classicism: The Enduring Popularity in Decorative Arts"); and curator Donald Albrecht (May 16: "The American Style: Colonial Revival and the Modern Metropolis"). The talks are followed by receptions with the speakers.
