The fifth Gable Music Ventures "The 6" singer songwriter showcase features some wonderful artists from the Wilmington, and Philadelphia area. This is a listening room show with each performer playing a thirty minute set of original material. As usual there will be wine and beer available to those with proper ID, and tickets are only $6. Doors open at 6:30. There is free parking across the street!!

Brene Wilson is a singer/songwriter from northern Delaware. He is a self taught musician who has been writing his own songs since the age of 13 years old. Brene's music can best be described as 'alternative pop/rock'. He mixes the edginess of alternative with the catchiness of pop to create an captivating style all his own. Brene is a staple of the LOMA music scene, frequenting shows, and organizing meetups to introduce new people to the growing original music scene in Wilmington

Chelsea grew up in Downingtown, PA on a healthy diet of art and music. She just released her debut album TINY PRIZES, a beautiful 11 song album. While she's not playing her own music she also accompanies other musicians, such as Blake Allen (father), and Philly band Vilebred. This will be her LOMA debut.

Emerging from the ashes of Decifunk, Sinapse, and Moth Meets Machine, a solo project from saxophonist/guitarist Jared Obstfeld is born. This is music for the soul - from the soul. As of late Jared is songwriter and saxophonist for local funk powerhouse Universal Funk Order, and is another huge contributer and supporter of the local scene.

Aly Paige Newitt (AlyCat) is a singer and a songwriter, but not a singer/songwriter. Hailing from a family of musicians and artists, AlyCat grew up around an abundance of creativity and in turn gained a unique perspective of the World. Her lyrics and music express her dynamic point of view. Aly has toured throughout the United States. Sharing the stage with Rusted Root, G. Love and Special Sauce, Kenny Rogers, David Bronberg, Angel Band, Joan Osborne, Levon Helm, Arlo Guthrie, Donald Byrd, George Stanford, and more. This will be her LOMA debut.
Chris "Griz" Grunwald - http://www.grizmusic.com/
Affectionately known by all who love him as Griz (and currently performing under that pseudonym), Chris Grunwald is a Philadelphia born artist who has been delivering the goods for more than a decade. Constantly adding to his creative resume, he continues to explore different musical avenues both as a solo performer and with several Philly based bands. This will be his LOMA debut.
Jessica Smucker - http://www.jessicasmucker.com/
Jessica Smucker writes what could be considered "dark pop" songs: catchy melodies in minor keys, lyrics that masterfully infuse sad stories with tiny flecks of humor and hope. She performs in diverse configurations and contexts, but her songs have a consistent melodic edge. "Woven with a sort of defiant sadness, a square-jawed resilience" (Fly Magazine), her compositions often start down a familiar road but, through a series of subtle twists and curves, deliver the listener to an unexpected destination. This will be her LOMA debut.
