During this first journey outside her village, the young woman experiences a whole new world. Winterland: Hisham Zaman / Norway / Iraq / Feature Film / 2007 Renas, a middle aged Kurdish immigrant from Iraq, has carved out a simple yet pleasant life for himself in rural Norway. His driving force has been the long-awaited arrival of Fermesk, his bride-to-be who he has yet to meet. When neither Renas nor Fermesk meet each others lofty expectations they must discover if true love is possible.
