MINIATURE MASTERPIECES: Chamber Concert featuring Violinist Sara Su Jones
Sun, March 20, 2016 at 3pm. PIANOFORTE CHICAGO, 1335 S Michigan Avenue, Chicago
MINIATURE MASTERPIECES music by Gershwin, Kreisler, Khachaturian, Albeniz, Elgar, Prokofiev, Tchaikovsky and more
Sara Su Jones, violin Tatyana Stepanova, piano
Violinist Sara Su Jones and pianist Tatyana Stepanova collaborate on an eclectic program of both popular and rarely performed musical miniatures, ranging from Kreisler and Albeniz to Gershwin and Shchedrinshort compositions that convey a wide variety of styles and moods, each telling a unique story. Although these diminutive delights are brief in duration, they demonstrate how composers can create masterpieces on a small scale.
This concert is a fundraiser for the Chicago Bar Association Symphony Orchestra, of which Sara Su is concertmaster.
Although there are no refunds, you may exchange tickets for another performance. Simply bring your unused tickets to the ticket table on the day of the performance you wish to attend.
Following their triumphant return to Orchestra Hall/Symphony Center, Chicago this past spring, the midwest's remarkable orchestra and chorus of lawyers and judges returns for its 30th season of concerts to delight every music lover.
