A concert of works plotting the intersection of text, voice and score. The performers will present improvised and notated pieces that transform texts and lines into sonic images with rich new meanings. Prompting questions like "what do these words do when they leave this page? leave my mouth"? and "are the lines of communication open"?
Featuring pieces by John Cage (Aria), Nomi Epstein (for Cage 99), John Holland (solo) and Carolyn Chen (How to assemble), with improvisations by the performers.
