Fun with Fermentation
This workshop will begin with a tasting and introductory talk in which we will cover:
pH and microbes flavor combinations
We will move on to pickling where we will:
divulge secrets on how to get the right texture and flavor in your pickles Talk about all of the wonderful things that can be pickled
We will conclude with fermenting food which is one of our favorite things to do at the Extension kitchen. You will:
learn how to make great sauerkraut and kimchi. how to design your own recipes. walk away from this workshop with a ferment fever and you will start fermenting all sorts of things.
You will go home with 3 jars of goodies and a lot of knowledge. All of our recipes are simple and delicious and we will teach you how to keep it safe and yummy. You are going to love it!!!
We will share organic snacks and goodies throughout the workshop!
