Songwriters on Stage - Series Premiere
Andrew Bohrmann was born and raised in Yarmouth  and now lives in Topsham. He has spent more than 34 years playing music; Rock 'n Roll, Heavy Metal, Blues, Folk, Classical and Jazz are the genres that make-up the influential base from where he started. After two years living in Iowa, Andrew got the Bluegrass bug and spent the last 20+ years honing his flat picking skills. Honing his songwriting and lyric skills, his songs are as varied in style as they are in subject. Whether playing with a group or playing solo, Andrew is definitely worth a listen.

Chris Moore grew up in Maine. He began studying piano at age seven and classical violin at age ten. After receiving his degree in acting from Skidmore College in 1984, he moved to New York City, where he worked as a performance artist, musician, puppeteer, and on the staff of the Arts at St. Ann's concert series in Brooklyn. While in New York, he studied with mandolin master Andy Statman. In 1989, Chris founded the band Rust Farm with Boston guitarist John McGann. Rust Farm released two albums, the second produced by bluegrass great Tim O'Brien in 2000. Maine audiences also know him as the mandolin player for The Fogg Brothers bluegrass band. Chris has composed, performed, and recorded music for dance, film, television, spoken word, theater, and visual art projects. He has performed as a classical soloist, and was awarded a Maine Artist Fellowship for songwriting in 2001. His songs have been recorded and performed by Adrienne Young, Mark Erelli, Rani Arbo, Carol Noonan, Barnstar!, Northern Lights, Dennis Brennan, and others. Chris has taught lessons, classes, and workshops for mandolin, songwriting, and traditional Shaker music. Chris returned to Maine in 2013 to work as the Director of Music Education for 317 Main Community Music Center in Yarmouth.

Lisa Redfern is an award winning singer-songwriter. At a young age she performed in a duo with her father, Bob Redfern, a folksinger who had his musical beginnings at the legendary Seeger family hootenannies in Washington, DC in the late 1950's and early 1960's. With 10 solo recordings to her credit, she is a singer who blends her roots in folk, bluegrass, country, gospel, blues, and jazz, to create something unmistakably her own. She has added her clear, beautiful voice to dozens of other artists' projects and song compilations and has opened for many notables, including Livingston Taylor, Dave Mallett, Cindy Kallet, and The Roches. Her lullaby CD, "Sing Me Goodnight", released in July 2010, won the National Parenting Publication Gold as well a Parents Choice Award Silver. Her most recent CD, "Once in a While" is full band recording of her favorite jazz standards. For more than 25 summers Lisa has performed at the beloved Sweet Chariot Music Festival on Swan's Island off the Maine coast. She recently concluded a five-year run producing, hosting, and performing in her monthly "Songwriters in the Round" series in Brunswick, Maine. As a voice-over artist, she can be heard on several toys for Fisher Price and Play Along Toys. Her love of promoting other people inspired her to start an online interview series called "Gingersnap": A Conversation and a Cookie with a Creative Mainer. Lisa is currently at work on a new CD of all originals and hopes to have it in her hands by this fall.

Ted DeMille writes with authority and performs with an accessible, understated passion. His music is decidedly left-handed and draws influence from Chuck Berry, Bob Dylan, Greg Brown, and Bill Monroe. Ted's songs are instantly memorable and equally comfortable in a waxed New England hall, a Bluegrass Festival, a church basement, or a town gazebo. He sings songs worth hearing.
