Rubi Nicholas presents Tellus Jokes: J-L Cauvin & Sam Mushman
8pm $10 21+
Tellus Jokes: Big Apple Comedy in the Heart of Lancaster. Comedian Rubi Nicholas delivers the best comedy to Lancaster on the third Thursday of every month.
This month's show features the comedy of J-L Cauvin along with Sam Mushman.
J-L Cauvin
J-L Cauvin began his stand-up career in Washington DC in 2003 as a law student at Georgetown University Law Center. Upon graduating law school in 2004, without any honors, he went to work as an Assistant DA in the Bronx, all the while working on his stand-up at nights in NYC. Impressing fellow open mic comedians with his suits and health insurance he quickly rose through the ranks of the NY Comedy scene. J-L began hitting the road once he left the law in 2009 and has toured all over the country performing at most of America's comedy clubs, bars and taco restaurants. He has made a name for himself in the comedy industry with both his stand up and his YouTube sketch work, most notably the Louis CK Tells The Classics video, which went viral in 2013. He is also the co-host of Investigation Discovery's "Dumb In the First Degree" web series and has four stand up albums: Racial Chameleon, Diamond Maker, Too Big To Fail & Keep My Enemies Closer. He has a weekly podcast on iTunes, The Righteous Prick Podcast, where he argues against popular or trendy things. He is currently a regular on The Adam Carolla Show, the #1 podcast on iTunes, and has performed stand up on The Late Late Show and Comics Unleashed.
Sam Mushman
Sam Mushman is a ex-college basketball player turned stand up comedian who has played shows all over the Northeast.
He performed in the Free Stand Up Festival which was featured on Timeout NY, as well as Make Me Laugh Festival of St. Louis, Finger Lakes Festival, and will be in this year's Jersey City Festival. He was also featured on ZenLive TV and the "Something's Off" College Comedy Tour, which was highlighted in the Hudson Reporter. Sam is quickly becoming one of NJ's fastest rising comedy stars, and can be seen regularly at Stand Up NY comedy club, and The Village Lantern.
Still deadly from beyond the arc, its in your best interest not to get stuck guarding Sam in the same washed up mens basketball league. He loves to teach defenders the true meaning of "Hand down, Man down"
